The Founder of Wutan UK – Master They Soon Tuan, arrived in the UK in 1977. He began teaching traditional Kung Fu styles and Tai Chi Chuan, under the name of Lucky Crane Tai Chi School. In 1986, Grand Master Liu Yun Qiao granted the school the permission to use Wutan as it name. The main focus of our school is for everyone to enjoy a healthier society both physically and mentally.

Martial Arts is “Wǔshù” (武术) which literally means martial arts.

  • “武” (wǔ) means “military,” “martial,” or “related to combat.”
  • “术” (shù) means “art,” “skill,” or “method.”
  • Wutan offers diverse training in numerous styles including Wing Chun, Choy Li Fut, Praying Mantis, Chang Chaun, Ba Ji Chuan, Tai Chi Chuan, Hsing-Yi, Ba Gua.

Audra has been practicing Chinese Martial Arts for over 30 years and loves sharing her knowledge. Her classes are currently based in Seaford, East Sussex, under Wutan Martial Arts who are the largest traditional school in the UK.

Xing Yi Chuan

Linear, explosive power Xing – (Shape/form) Yi (Intention). The style’s energy and fists work with the 5 Elements: Metal/Pi – (Splitting), Water/Shui (Drilling), Wood/Beng (Crushing), Fire/Pao (Pounding), Earth/Heng (Crossing).
